Amsterdam Centraal Station is one of the main railway nodes of the Netherlands. It is also a starting point of Amsterdam metro lines. The building was designed by P. J. H. Cuypers and A. L. van Gendt, and opened in 1889. Amsterdam Centraal Station

Grand Central Terminal  in New York City is a Beaux-Arts building which serves as a transportation hub connecting train, subway, car and pedestrian traffic in an efficient way. Designed by the firms Reed & Stem and Warren & Wetmore it began full operation in 1913. In the 1970s, together with board member Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the Municipal Art Society rallied New Yorkers to save it from the wrecking ball. Grand Central Terminal
